It’s all about balance right? 🤷🏼♀️
Every holiday that involves chocolate, I struggle. Sweets 🍫 is my weakness, well Reese’s are weakness and I may have had an entire 4 pack of Reese’s after an amazing steak and 🦞 dinner🤦🏼♀️ thanks to my sweet valentine🥰 or should I say my diet sabotaging hubby.
On a proud note my workouts have been on point and I ran my fastest run 🏃♀️ ever this week at 9 miles an hour!!!
All of that doesn’t compare to a non scale win I had this week ... a boudoir photo shoot!! 🤭
I have always wanted to have one but would always makes excuses... I’m too fat, I’m too skinny, my hair isn’t long enough, I need a tan... The list can go on and on, seriously but those were seriously all excuses I’d make because I’m was just too insecure in my own skin.
So I pulled up my big girl panties or should I say thongs🥱👙 and did it. I was still uncomfortable, that‘s for sure but my photographer 📷 was great and reassuring. At 1st I felt completely stiff and a little insecure 😟 with the amount of skin showing but I warmed up and I must say it was a lot of fun to me photographed 📸and honestly made me feel beautiful😍.
Then the highly anticipated day came, the pictures came in! 💌 I couldn’t sleep with excitement as I laid in bed reviewing the pics just feeling so beautiful. I could not wait to give Marty his gift and see his face.
I even enlisted my best friends to help choose the best shots but I probably should of warned her before she opened my booty shot in front of her boss 🥱😂
The biggest lesson this experience taught me was the truth in the old wise tale, the most beautiful thing a woman can wear is a smile!
No matter what I was wearing or not wearing, the pictures I truly loved, were the ones where I’m genuinely smiling. No matter size, hair length or how tanned your skin, the smile a woman wears is her true beauty! 🥰
So this week, as your eating healthy, running faster or lifting heavier don’t forget to smile and remember your true beauty is already there!
